Boston Foodie & Fun - Part 2

Boston, Massachusetts:

Good food is always a top priority when we travel and this trip was no different. So come Sunday morning, we were toying with the thought of a few different brunch options. Boy are we glad we landed here: The Friendly Toast

Literally on the back side of the hotel, it was just the cutest place and the food was so delicious. I am not a big breakfast eater - you know I save the space for lunch and dinner but Thomas loves a good breakfast so we always fine a nice spot. He wants to take credit for this place but I have tried to tell him, I already had it as an option but because he decided, he wanted the credit. I let him have it this time. 😂

We sat on the lower level and from the stairs - it's like where are we going and then the door slides open and you enter just the cutest dining area all decked out. High top seating and a full bar was exactly what we needed first thing in the morning.

And the FOOD!! Awesome sauce! Best breakfast in a long time. We both really enjoyed it.

We went early because we already had reservations for an early dinner at 4:15 @ Mariel.

My God this place is just gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice and it's a must see in person.

The food here is what I would consider tapas style. While the prices don't necessarily align with the portion size, we left pretty fulfilled. And well you know us, we aren't going anywhere without a good drink taste. I had 2 mojitos and both were out of this world.

The best part of this place was this little dessert gadget below. OMG! When you say GOODT!! We were literally side eyeing each bite the other was taking!! 😂 If you end up here, this part DO NOT SKIP!

Since dinner was so early, we were left with the question of 'So what's next'? We toyed over the idea of tracking down the 3rd Cigar Bar from our list. Let's just say the other 2 options from Friday night ended up in a complete fiasco! Oh the memories! But third time's a charm! We landed at Stanza die Sigari. This turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The venue is a classic cigar bar with plush seating, a dark setting, great drink options and choice cigars. We grabbed a seat in the back corner next to the television, smoked cigars, and had a few cocktails. Here is where Honey met a few new buddies from the town and we exchanged courtesy drinks.

We left here and went back to the hotel only for someone (not me) to figure out they were hungry. 🤔 So off from the hotel (that we just got back to) to find some food. We reached the Delux Cafe only to find out they are a late night spot but only for drinks. Off we go again. We landed a place called Anchovies as a referral. Man this place was packed!!

We really just wanted to grab some food to go and we went with a burger and wings. Best food from a late night spot EVER! Sorry no - pics but take my word for it.
