Girls Gone Hou - The Fun

Houston, TX

Trap Music Rides, Bar Hops, A JOYful Sweat & Muse Fun!

Girl fun is the best fun especially when the vibes are always great!

A JOYful Sweat

I am opening with a confession - bootcamp was my idea. LOL! I tried so hard to pass the blame onto someone else but when I was looking for things for the itinerary and I saw this huge gym at the hotel and thought let me add it to the list for my friend (and only my friend) not realizing that I unofficially signed up everyone for an early morning bootcamp session with the group's drill sergeant. Lesson learned.

I honestly thought somewhere along the trip, someone would speak up but even if they tried, Joy was not letting us off the hook! We all packed workout clothes so the commitment was in our heads but never did I think we would really act on this. LOL! But we fell in line and it was actually fun but more importantly we had a first together on a girl's trip so that in itself was priceless. The next activity on our to do list was oh soooo trill.

Trill on Wheels

Doing ratchet things with my classy friends is just what I do. LOL! I don't know if I would put the full ratchet feather in the hat of this activity but it I'd say it was pretty close BUT what a time that was had. So if you like a lil trap music while pedaling your life around the 3rd Ward in Houston, Texas, with a few red Solo cups (cause everyone knows what the red Solo cups mean) with your best gal pals, then this is the thing for you.

This S*&^ was so much fun! Lord! I didn't know my friends were such good rappers and RnB singers! We had a few concerts and even threw in a dance party outside of Savoy. I mean when you hear 'I pull up at the club VIP Gas tank on E, but all drinks on me' ......you just have to particiapte whatever foolery comes next! LOL!

We booked the VIP package which gauranteed a private ride just for our group. Perfect! Our host and driver were sooo much fun but ole' girl said she thought our ride would have been boring...CHYYYYY!! EH? I bet we showed her!! Together, we were a VIBE.

The ride is BYOD but we also stopped at 2 bars along the route and both were black owned. Great establishments!

The first bar was Bar 5015. Here we had shots with orange slices. Never done that before but it turned out ok..well kinda. Even my friend had to ask - is that right? <shrugs shoulders> They pour shots large here. 3x the amount because they are in the 3rd Ward. M'am that's really not a good reason but ok. We took them like champs. That's a lie. Some of us choked a little. One of them being me. I could not take this as a shot. It was too big and ummm gold. Yeah..haven't done that since the Cuervo days anndddd who's trying to go backwards in life?? Anywho! This bar was a nice pit stop and we were on to next one.

The Savoy

Up next was a spot called The Savoy. Just as good as the last, this is where Lil Boosie took over the bike! LMFAO!! But whyyyy on earth did our grown tails hop down from our bike seats like that and have a complete wipe me down dance off in front of an entire set of patrons seated on the outside patio!! LMFAO again!! Next thing I know...cameras were out so if you see 7 girls on the streets of Houston wiping each other down outside of The Savoy....yeah that was us. Oh and send me the footage! <cries in laughter>

Nothing really topped this day! I mean..I think this was my highlight and I'm only speaking for myself. Shout out to my partner in planning (Myrtle) for hooking us up with this one. Memories were created and I could relive this time over and over again. It would never get old. Boy - do I need a repeat already! Somebody find me a big A$$ bike with trap music and some drinks ASAP!

Seismique

We took a trip over to a super cool immersive art museum. Spanning 40,000 square feet, this was a fun and interactive experience that we all enjoyed. The artistic creations were so unique and intriquing that we wanted to visit every square foot. We spent a little over an hour here and it was worth the drive and walk through. I love that it's really something that can be enjoyed for all ages. It was a step outside of the normalcy of art museuems flooded with wall paintings and glass boxes. They actually let us play with the art! Tickets were inexpensive and with our VIP option, we were able to use our tickets at any time. This was a perfect option for our group because we were able to remain flexible which we sometimes need.

Another trip that was for the books!! Houston you did us one good! Until next time... Cheers!
