Still trying to get a room here but for this trip, a drink at the carousel bar will do. With only a few nights to spare, I had to make use of after conference hours and make a stop at this bar. It was such a treat and like many other places, this is definitely somewhere I can't wait to return to. If this looks familiar its because this is the same bar that was featured in the blockbuster movie Girl's Trip featuring a slew of top talent and was filmed in the great city of New Orleans. In the was movie, the all girl crew was set to take the city by storm and the hotel of choice was The Monteleone! The lobby of this gorgeous hotel was the set of the infamous fight that ultimately got the crew ejected from the hotel before having to migrate to another hotel that was not as nice and well, no carousel bar.
My cocktail of choice for this visit was my one of my favorite mixes - Hennessy, Sprite, & Lime. The bar tender mixed this drink perfectly and on my next visit, I hope to book a room and will most definitely return for another mix of this cocktail!
What a true gem inside of this historic hotel in the French Quarter! The bar and lounge was impeccable and just an overall fun place to be. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
