Denver, CO:
The good thing about walking in a new city, are the places you stumble across just by chance. We were headed to the historic Larimer Square to check out a whisky bar + a cigar bar only to head in the opposite direction and land here. Of course, I was walking obliviously and fascinated by the fire pits lining the sidewalk but honey found his way up to this place. And when I say we landed a gem, we landed a gem.
We stopped in and immediately felt the positive vibes. It was so eclectic and spunky. There were sitting pods in every corner, picnic tables, high bar seating, albums, lush side chairs and a live DJ. It was the perfect spot to grab a drink or two or three. :-). We took a quick stroll around and decided to stay.
Honey will mostly start with jack+ coke but this time he opted for some new whiskey or bourbon that I can't remember. I am trying to do better with that! BUT as for me, I had THE CHET BAKER ( Wild Turkey Bourbon, Sugar, & Bitters) and I must say it was outstanding. It ran us $12 and if I could take lots of bourbon, I would have had a second but a wise girl knows her limits. (yes I know that's not how the quote actually goes, lol)
We were so impressed with this spot, we can't wait to return and in fact, we may just fly through Denver just to do a quick swing by. We fell in love!
