Cabo San Lucas,Mexico:
So first time this far west and I wasn’t disappointed one bit! What a beautiful place this was! To my surprise, the beauty of this place came equipped with Mountain views, desert sands, and a gorgeous ocean side! Let’s chat about this ocean though. As beautiful as it was, unbeknownst to me, many of the Cabo beaches are prohibited from swimming. Something so gorgeous was not even able to be touched! Apparently, the tides there are so strong, there are some beaches that are restricted from swim access and others that welcome swimmers. The beach at our resort was not the latter. But nevertheless, the resort was beautiful and Cabo is not a one and done trip. The place deserves multiple visits and I am game for the next. This was our first sister's trip and it was such good fun! We flew separately into Cabo and arrived at different times but while I waited, I had plenty of airport entertainment and some tequila to go with it! For this trip, I flew with 1 stop from Columbia, SC (CAE) to Dallas Forth Worth, Texas (DFW). I have a layover that lasted a few hours which was fine because my travel partner was delayed coming from Atlanta. From DFW, my next stop was Cabo! A short flight from Texas to Mexico landed me in a beautiful place that exceeded my wildest expectations. We visited the last weekend in September and the weather was perfect - HOT but perfect just like I like it. Truth be told, my greatest relaxing moments are spent soaking up the hottest sun cooling off in the pool with drinks in hand. For me, outside of a relaxing spa appointment, this makes my soul smile. :-)
Back to the sights - I honestly don't know what I expected. I certainly didn't think I would get a mix of the desert, the mountains and a glowing sea all wrapped into one but that's exactly what I got. To be honest, Cabo is probably the most beautiful place that I have yet to lay eyes on. The scenery is meticulous and when this place was created, it was done with beauty in mind. If you are thinking about Cabo, don't hesitate. Everyone must visit at least once in life. I love exploring new places but I am on the brink of convincing my sister that this place is our yearly must do destination.
