Midtown Manhattan & SoHo
Our Sunday started with - you guessed it, more walking! This time it was for me - sorta. I totally regretted one of my purchases from Bergdorf's so off to the store to return 1 of the 2 bags I purchased. One was a total mistake! After my return purchase, I still wanted a second bag so we headed off to 63rd Street to the Goyard boutique. Nestled in a neighborhood, it was just kinda hanging out there. And there was a line. Sheesh. We waited in the blazing sun for like 40 minutes just to get inside. I almost walked away but I am glad I didn't.
Here we found many more options than what was available at BG. So glad we made this stop.
Once in, we were greeted by an associate and I asked for the bags I wanted to see. Nothing else because I didn't want any more temptation. I am here for 1 (count it 1) bag. The other two, I will get later. LOL! I already have the styles + the colors selected.
I snagged my Cap-Vert Bag in the color green. It's sooooo cute! My first purchase from BG was the Plumet Pocket Wallet in the classic black + tan.
I just adore them both. Needless to say, I have 2 more to purchase in order to complete my collection for now and will add them overtime. We dropped off my purchase and headed to Soho. We were going to Hudson Yards but after finding out that The Vessel was permanently closed due to a series of unfortunate events, we kept it moving and head 'down south'. Sneaker stores first..again...sigh. Then we ended on Canal Street where it was almost too much to handle because it was super crowded but we toughed it out anyway.
More and more shopping but I was beat. I let the true shopaholic continue while I popped into a restaurant to rest and well umm...grab a glass of wine. Because I always pick great places (wink, wink), we ended up staying for dinner and it was PERFECT!
Lure Fishbar was the move.
What we ordered:
Apps: DEVILED EGGS: Topped with American Caviar
BUFFALO CHICKEN LOLLIPOPS (DON'T SKIP THESE!)
Steaks: FILET MIGNON (10oz), RIBEYE (16oz) Sides: French Fries, Green Beans
Cocktails: Espresso Martini, Jack and Coke
Dessert: Warm Cookie w/Ice Cream
Yes, yes - I know ordering steaks at a fish bar? We were on the fence but they were really wonderful. I guess if you have a good chef, you can cook anything great. We loved it and it's now on our lists of repeats so take time to visit Lure Fishbar if you are ever in NYC or in Chicago. You won't regret it. Try some seafood and let me know how it is!
Don't forget to Travel, Relax & Eat!
