Southern Foodie

Charleston, SC:

So here is my favorite portion - writing about the food! I could visit Charleston every week just to try some of the fantastic dining options but this time, I will be writing about the new places we tried and for me there was only one repeat!

The Birthday Dinner was at High Cotton! We absolutely loved it! We got free shots and the birthday girl got something extra special courtesy of the restaurant. I had the lamb chops and broccolini and I did take pics but they were so dark due to the low lighting, I didn't think you would be interested so here is a shot of the birthday dessert!

Details for the dining spot is linked below!

Well rested nights at the Belmond are unavoidable. The beds are super comfortable + the true blackout curtains, it's easy to sleep late. So we are waking up to the perfect Saturday Brunch. Must admit, we had no plans but when we hit search engines, Eli's Table popped up and we hit the street for a quick hike. This has to be the best brunch I ever had. EVERYONE was pleased with their food. Their Fried Green Tomatoes are unmatched and whew, the beignets they sell! Like don't leave without having them! Spectacular!

Off to a midday spot to relax and after a few blocks, we landed here - Charlestown Tobacco & Wine. The owner Don was the perfect host. While listening to some Otis Redding, Bob Marley and Sam Cooke, my friends and I smoked a Punch Cigar and have you guessed it - more RED wine! :-)

Details of the location we visited are below!

Now off to Saturday's dinner which was the repeat for me! Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar is definitely as Charleston staple. I visited before but I wanted my friends to have the same experience plus Don from CT&W recommended it! My friend and I shared a chilled seafood platter and I must say, it's one of the best. I literally think I am going to create a blog post dedicated to these things! They are so good to eat! I loved every bit but the best were the seasoned shrimp! I could have eaten those all night!

Wanna try it? Details for the spot are below! Keep scrolling!
