Chateau Elan - Braselton, GA:
SO this place could work for so many types of vacations - baecation, selfcation, girlcation..it actually works for them all. Well this was a baecation and let's just say, there is a limit on how much wine Honey will actually take in so we spent ALOT of time here - Louis House of Bourbon. One of the main attractions was the pool tables. Honey loves to play pool so in between our group activities and dinner, we ended up here. Frankly, it was quite enjoyable for us both. The venue was more of a masculine feel in terms of decor but each time we went there was a mixed crowd - not too many fellas and not too many ladies. It's probably one of my favorite places in the entire resort.
Not only was it very nicely decorated, there was live music on Friday & Saturday plus a menu that would give us options we both like. Honey went for the hot wings which were very tasty and well, you know me, once I see a charcuterie board on the menu, I have to try it!! :-)
The drinks were reasonably priced and when I say reasonably, I am talking in terms of resort pricing which will NOT be same as your local bar or restaurant - generally speaking. Most of our drinks were priced at $9 - $16 which I would consider fair. Honey usually goes for Jack + Coke, while I will do wine, beer, or try a new cocktail to be adventurous. Well, we were on vacation, so we really just ordered what felt right. :-)
Louis House of Bourbon - advertises as having the 'Best Old Fashion in Georgia' so you know who had to try it - ME!! I'm not new to a good Old Fashion so it was $16 well spent.
