New York City:
Everyone knows I love NY! It's no question! I try to make it there several times a year just because and each time, I find a new place to explore and of course new places to EAT! This trip was no different. It was fun filled and a true exploration of the city and we are still not done! One of the best tourist attractions on our to do list was Top of the Rock. This excursion takes you to the very top of Rockefeller Center and it's such a treat!
This activity can be done during the day or at night. We choose the option to explore at night to take in all of the city lights from Top of the Rock!
Before you get to the top and please allow for enough time, you have to go through a security check point, view a historical video about John D. Rockefeller and family (this is where I learned of his wife's connection to Spelman College - go figure). After you wait in line and trust me, there will be a line, you take a few subset of elevators to reach the top destination. This causes a bit of a wait because there is a capacity for the elevators which require multiple batches of people to be sent up separately but after all that, it's definitely worth the view when you get to the top.
