Winery Tour & Tasting - Chateau Elan

Braselton, GA:

I have been thinking of a return trip to the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort since I left. It’s one of those bucket list places that I didn’t want to miss. This past year has really taught me how to seize an opportunity when presented and this goes for travel too. I feel like our travel seasons were snatched away in a whim within a matter of a few and the extended lack of travel has me feeling some kinda way but I yet digress. One great thing about this resort is the amount of activities offered on site - some free and some with a fee. We participated in a few activities but this post is dedicated to our wine tour and tasting.

The winery offers a variety of tours that you can take advantage of so to find a middle ground, we booked the hour long Chateau Tour & Tasting. It’s offered in hour intervals and the cost was $30 per person. It is a group activity so you will be participating with other guests and a guided behind the scenes with a look at the Winery Vat and Production Rooms with details on the wine making process.

After the tour, you enjoy a group tasting of five winemaker-selected wines in the Winery Cask room surrounded by barrels of aging wines. Such a treat!

One highlight of the entire tour was to see the bottling and labeling process. In the traditional assembly line fashion, we were able to see the tops added + sealed and labeling all in one visual. It was pretty amazing to see the process in action with the end resulting in what we all see on the shelves!

I have been on a few wine tours (go figure) but I must say this one was more informative than others I have tried and to see the production rooms + assembly line was a never before experience. Honey and I enjoyed every moment of it. I highly recommend it.
